[21] To bake pameie in the oven. Take apples [22] cut up and put in
an earthen pot: that is, a [23] bowl which is closed and a lid laid [24]
on top and let it simmer thus. Then one shall take it out [25] into a
bowl. Then one shall beat it very well [26] from underneath with good
butter. Know that no other spice serves [will do] here [27] but ginger,
cinnamon, mace, nutmegs, [28] cloves, and potsugar. [28] Mix these
together very well with the apples. Then put [30] it back in the oven so
that it may dry well [31] because it must be well-dried. |
